Architectural
This project began as a Master Plan for the parish campus including potential modification to the church, school, offices, recreation facilities and parking.
The original church building is a strong architectural work and has been published as one of the more significant buildings in Michigan. We were awarded this project after a design competition in which we accomplished all of the preliminary project goals while maintaining respect to the original church structure.
The design solution adds a fellowship space for the Sanctuary, a Chapel, a new gymnasium, meeting rooms, offices, classrooms, and a new elevator to provide access for the several levels of the church and school.
Serious site circulation problems were addressed with modifications to parking and playgrounds.
