CDI has worked with the Ann Arbor Center for Independent Living on numerous projects over the years, including renovations to several office spaces to make them more accessible for the Center's clients, as well as programming for a possible future new facility. CDI Principal David Esau, AIA worked with the CIL to provide Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) evaluations of over 200 business and government buildings, and published a newsletter distributed through the CIL about accessibility issues.
The image is a preliminary idea of some possible modifications to the CIL's current building, including a new drop-off, reworked entry, and accessible garden.
