The existing building is an approximately 10,000 square foot, two-story structure with a lower level partially below grade. The main and upper levels were remodeled for this project. The addition is a two-story structure, comprising 5,400 square feet. Several energy saving measures were incorporated into the remodel as well as the addition, including low-e glass throughout. All lighting is high efficiency and is controlled with occupant sensors. Energy recovery ventilators connected to packaged rooftop units pre-condition the outside air to reduce heating and cooling loads. Classic Engineering provided HVAC design for the design-build contractor on this project. This building achieved LEED Certified status.
