TAC Manufacturing embarked on the construction of a new 64,000 sq. ft. zinc and magnesium die casting facility in order to increase their production capabilities. The new facility is a stand alone building, adjacent to the existing plant with independent utilities including a chilled water system, compressed air system, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection and electrical and exterior magnesium dust neutralization system. A new 3-ton bridge crane system was designed, and a second 3-ton bridge crane was relocated from the existing plant with a new runway beam. The new facility included one fully equipped loading dock, recess truck well for scrap dumpsters, receiving, maintenance, inspection, meeting rooms, lockers for 50 employees, and office areas.
