Story

Egeler Correctional Facility: Byce & Associates, Inc. provided engineering services for the Egeler Building 142.  This project included a complete demolition and renovation of the existing building.  In the revised configuration this building serves as the central location for all prisoners entering the Department of Corrections system.  A new chilled water system was engineered to include a 150 ton steam absorption chiller and related cooling tower, piping, pumps, valves, controls, etc.

Lewis Cass Building:   Byce & Associates, Inc, provided engineering services for the Lewis Cass Building in Lansing, Michigan.  The scope of services included connecting the existing chilled water system to the new district chilled water piping system.  New pumps were added, as well as piping, valves, controls, etc.  The total pumping capacity was about 900 gpm (about 500 tons capacity).
