Design Program: The Pierce Cedar Creek Institutes Environmental Education Center is a project that was designed to be an adult education facility who's main focus was on the ecological issues that we face in our world today. This project included the design and placement of a Visitors Center, Education Building, Site Managers Residence and ADA accessible housing, all of which were designed to blend with the natural setting of the Institute. The design and installation of all roads, utilities, and wetland treatment areas for both sanitary and storm water was also included in this project.
Design Challenges: Because this project was constructed on over 500 acres of ecosystems, there were site development issues as the purpose of designing this Education Center on this site was to have its natural environment remain intact during and after the completion of the project.
