Design Program:  Since Kalamazoo Valley Community College was established, the chemistry labs underwent their first major technological update and renovation. The new design for the lab included increased square footage, updated technological equipment and the use of computer terminals at each workstation, where the students would have direct access to the internet and other resource materials. Byce & Associates, Inc. provided the mechanical and electrical design which included exhaust hoods, upgrades to the HVAC system and information systems wiring and connections.

Design Challenges:  The project was logistically challenging because the design and implementation  had to be completed while school was in session.
