Story

Design Program: Byce & Associates, Inc., provided mechanical and electrical engineering services for a new 80,000 square foot, two-story office building.  This facility houses offices, locker rooms and training facilities for the Water Department personnel.  The Owner required LEED Certification for this building. 

Design Challenges:  This new building required a fast-track, accelerated construction schedule due to the expiration of the city's lease of an existing rental property.  The LEED Certification for the new building required design that incorporated green building practices.  Mechanical and electrical systems complied with ASHRAE Standard 90.1-2001 and included building system commissioning.
