Story

Design Program:  Design Ware commissioned Byce & Associates, Inc. to handle the fourth building for their paper goods.  The project consisted of a new 164,000 sq. ft. warehouse to store paper goods such as decorative plates and napkins.  The new warehouse is a one story, steel frame construction that included seven (7) loading docks.

Byce & Associates, Inc. performed the design and project management of the existing Buildings 1, 2 and 3 at the Kalamazoo site.  The first building was built in 1976 and is 160,000 sq. ft.  The second was   constructed in 1986 and is 75,000 sq. ft.  The third building addition was completed in 1996 and is 230,000 sq. ft.  Byce & Associates, Inc. provided architectural, structural, civil, mechanical and electrical engineering for all projects.  Over the past 23 years, Byce & Associates, Inc. developed an excellent working relationship with the Kalamazoo staff and has provided services for smaller projects, as well as the major building programs.
