Design Program: The Bellamy Correctional Facility is well known for its furniture manufacturing, and because of the buildings state of disrepair, the State of Michigan made some changes to the Michigan State Industries  Facility. An addition to the existing building was planned along with construction  of a 62,000 square foot furniture manufacturing building and the construction of a 15,000 foot mezzanine. The new facility will serve as an integral part of the training program for MSI, as the facility will have the capability to manufacture main lines of wood furniture, new office paneling systems, along with other wood products.  Byce & Associates, Inc. was in charge of the site, all required electrical design for equipment, power, lighting and utilities and the mechanical design for the  HVAC dust collection system, make-up air supply, paint booth and plumbing for the civilian and prisoner restrooms.
