Riverwatch Condominiums

South Haven, Michigan

Story

Design: Post Associates Contract: Cost Plus Budget: $6,100,000 Supervision: Garry Hart, Project Manager, Josh Daniel, Assistant Project Manager, Fred DeGraaf, Superintendent The Riverwatch Condominiums of South Haven is a dream realized by a local group of developers, which saw great potential in the Southwest Michigan resort town. This 6 story block and precast concrete structure stands on the southern banks of the Black River. Fryling Construction teamed with Post Associates to design and build what is now the tallest building in the town of South Haven. This 25 unit building comes with the full amenities of a work-out facility, roof-top deck, and outdoor pool. The project is located on a former industrial site and has brought the property to its full potential. All units come completely finished with a variety of hard surface floors, granite countertops, fireplaces, and a panoramic view of the river. Each includes a large private balcony above the river and most come with a parking space in the private, heated garage. All units have also been uniquely and custom designed in conjunction with ROI Design. Construction of the building was difficult due to its height and close proximity to the water. Building foundations were enlarged and special precautions were taken into account to keep the building and its builders out of the Black River. In addition, field personnel and trade contractors took on the challenge of constructing a masonry building through a hard South Haven winter. Fryling Construction is proud to have built this structure which provides first class amenities to its residents and guests.
