American Pools and Spas partnered with Giles-McIvor (GeneralContractor) to construct a multi-level pool, spa, and deck project in theLennar neighborhood of ChampionsGate Country Club.  This was a design-build project based on theconceptual drawing of the Landscape Architect firm Michael Redd &Associates, P.A. and was engineered by AquaDynamics Design Group, Inc.  It was a pleasure collaborating with suchaccomplished professionals to construct a one of a kind amenity area worthy ofthe name “The Plaza”.

The design intent was for the multi-leveled pools to appearto overflow from one to the other.  Asthis design would not be allowed by building code, we created two separatepools with a bridge in between.  Theupper pool has a hidden gutter on one side of the bridge giving the effect thatthe water is running underneath the bridge and operates as a single pool.  The lower pool has a rain descent waterfall tocreate an effect of water coming under the bridge and spilling into the pool,also operating as an independent pool.

We are proud of the team we have gathered to accomplish this project. This pool area and amenity center will be enjoyed by many residents at Champions Gate in Davenport, Florida.
