The Villages are comprised of quaint neighborhoods or villages where everything from recreation, entertainment, medical facilities, shopping and dining are just a golf car ride away.

The Brownwood Hotel & Spa located at 3003 Brownwood Blvd., The Villages, FL is the Villages latest and most luxurious Hotel and Spa. Attached to the Hotel and Spa is the Center for Advanced Health which allows the residents to stay on top of their health care needs.

The Brownwood Hotel and Spa features 151 total rooms with 7 Suites and an 8,300 square foot ballroom plus additional meeting spaces. Adjacent to The Center for Advanced Healthcare at Brownwood. Allowing residents and guest to enjoy time with each other in outstanding accommodations.

The Project team for this project was DPR Construction as the General Contractor, Earl Swensson Associates as the Architect, and P&A Roofing and Sheet Metal, Inc. For the Brownwood Hotel and Spa P&A Roofing and Sheet Metal, Inc. was tasked with installing the roof and making the project water tight. Materials used for this project were Tan TPO, Peterson Snap clad metal panels on the Mezzanine and over the restaurant, corrugated metal panels at the courtyard and Pavers for the 4th floor terrace.

The project started (insert date)and was completed in (insert timeline). P&A Roofing and Sheet Metal was able to bring this project in on schedule and on budget. Running crews daily and on weekends through the Florida heat and rain sometimes presents delays as P&A Roofing and Sheet Metals top priority of the safety of our works.

We also had to deal with being in an already developed location with active businesses, shops and residents. P&A Roofing and Sheet Metal took extra precautions when using Cranes, Motorized lifts, product deliveries and staff vehicles. Since most of The Villages residents get around on Golf carts which are harder to see and not as safe as a standard vehicle it was very important to P&A Roofing and Sheet Metal to keep everyone safe.

As with any large project like the Hotel and Spa we had multiple trades working on the project at the same time. With mechanical, plumbing and electrical needed to be run through the roof P&A Roofing and Sheet Metal would first cut the roof open in the areas the trade needed, lay down plywood for these trades to work and then once they were done with their trade work P&A Roofing and Sheet Metal would take up the plywood and fix any intrusions in order to keep it sealed tight to prevent water from entering.

Overcoming all of these elements is one of the reasons why we think this project is deserving of an Eagle Award recognition.
