Why this project deserves an ABC Excellence in Construction Award
Using the same architect, construction manager, and subcontractors, Seminole State College builds upon a previous renovation to Building L fulfilling its vision to transform a 45-year-old building into a stylish, contemporary structure well equipped for a modern student body. The project creates a learning environment for student and faculty that is cutting-edge and engaging, emphasizing natural light, warm colors, and flexible open spaces. The project also incorporates sustainable strategies to coincide with the LEED Gold certification achieved on the previous renovation. By working collaboratively, pre-planning for the unexpected, and making smart decisions throughout the design and construction process, the team delivers the College a beautiful and well-built facility at a fraction of the cost.
