Dania Pointe, a 102-acre mixed use development with aCinderella story.
This 102-acre, mixed-use development started out as a barrenbrownfield site with abandoned and condemned buildings, including an old woodenroller coaster – ‘Hurricane’. Over the course of this 4 year constructionproject, this once contaminated site transformed into a premier anddistinguished development housing retail, restaurants, office, parking decks,multi-family units and a hotel.
Construction started in November of 2015 on the southside ofthe site. The first phase of work consisted of a typical regional shoppingcenter of approximately 325,000 SF, anchored by a warehouse club, a variety ofmedium sized junior anchor tenants, small shop tenants, restaurants, and padbuilding site. The official groundbreaking took place in November 2018.
A few months earlier, in July of 2018, thisproject held it’s ground breaking for phase II. This portion of the projectfocused on the north side of the site and consisted of an entertainmentfacility, office space, two 6-story parking decks with 1,628 spaces and a witha mix of high-end retail and restaurants in a lifestyle setting, inclusive of amassive green area for visitors to relax and play. The retail and restaurantcomponent of the lifestyle portion of the project will be a combination of oneand two story buildings totaling about 600,000 SF. There are a total of 169retail spaces for both phases.
