At 18 beds, the $12.5 million, 20,000-square-foot offsiteemergency department in Brandon is by far the largest – and one of the mostchallenging. The facility offers onsite laboratory services and a separate entrance for outpatient imaging thatincludes X-ray, ultrasound and CT scanning.  The Robins & Morton team becamean indispensable asset at the Brandon location, providing innovative solutionsto numerous scheduling challenges that included incessant rain, permittingdelays and design changes.

From the beginning, the project bred an environment for creative thinking.  The onsite team consistently challenged one another to find ways to build better - faster, more efficiently, and with greater quality management.  Despite a host of obstacles, the project was conclusivelya success due to Robins & Morton’s nimble scheduling, commitment to qualitymanagement, and quick adaptations to plan around AdventHealth’s service needs.Through innovation, technology, and the pioneering Building Forward® approach,the team collaborated effectively throughout the project, engaging allcontractors as true partners, and overcame each challenge together.
