Inspection-Services

Story

The U.S. General Services Administration and Clark-Atkinson are partnering to begin construction of the San Ysidro Land Port of Entry’s East-West pedestrian bridge. This 806-foot-long bridge is the first phase of GSA’s planned expansion and renovation of the port. The new bridge will connect the existing transit plaza on San Ysidro Blvd. to the west side of Interstate 5 on the north side of Cam iones Way. It is designed to meet new security measures and will better serve the port’s pedestrian traffic. Construction activities currently underway include pile driving, demolition, underground utilities, concrete and steel work, painting and landscaping. Construction is expected to last approximately 18 months. Koury Engineering is providing Materials Testing for this project.
