Pioneer Construction was asked to take an existing facility that was over 20 years old and give it an entire face lift. All of the surface materials throughout the area were removed, the locker rooms, men’s and women’s, were gutted, resulting in an entire design for these areas. The biggest challenge facing the architect as well as Pioneer was to add a 20’ x 10’ steam room in the men’s locker room within the existing space. Pioneer and Grooch Design not only met this challenge but exceeded all expectations by creating additional walls and raising the level of the floor. the Health Facilities serve over 400 members as well as daily use by the guests of the hotel. The entire project took less than three months from start to finish.
After realizing the 1913 Grill was in need of renovation, Wendell Gooch Design carried over the same theme as the Lumber Baron Bar. The rick, dark woods and the accented lighting provide a warm, welcoming atmosphere for casual businesslike dining. This has been recognized by the patrons of the restaurant making it one of the most popular spots in town.
When the decision was made to remodel the entire lobby of the Grand Plaza Hotel, two major issues had to be overcome during construction: The first was to keep the hotel up and running while the renovations were underway. The second was to provide absolute safety and comfort for all the guests as well as hotel staff. Both of these issues were achieved by organization of the project to the highest level. The length of the project was only nine months from start to completion.
The Macatawa Legends is a residential development with golf course that occupies approximately 800 acres and has over 1,000 residential units.
