The Emergency Department is landlocked by the surrounding hospital, parking lot and circulation areas. This addition utilized a small green belt area to create an eighty person waiting area in phase one of the Emergency Deparment renovations. With the new waiting room in place, phase two was to develop the former waiting areas. The triage areas were increased by constructing additional trauma bays, exam rooms, and emergency bays, to keep the Emergency Department sized for the projected increase of emergency room visits.
Initial services included programming and feasibility analysis at TCF's existing headquarters in downtown Ann Arbor. TCF Bank in moving its office to Livonia was to reduce the amount of square footage used in Ann Arbor and maintain space for 250 employees. Bowers + Rein created an efficient open plan that allowed them to have greater efficiencies of space operations and overlapping use of amenities.
All Finishes, Executive Office Furniture and Workstations were procured by Bowers + Rein.
The site plan for this and an adjoining office building were planned by Bowers + Rein.
