Professional Office Building for The Davidson Companies Finished

The new two-story 17,000 square foot headquarters for Davidson Realty Company and Davidson Development Company is designed with a great deal of influence and elements from the Arts and Crafts period.  The frequent hard Florida rains and harsh summer sun also contributed to the development of a building with broad overhangs and covered entries.  Of the prominent building features, one major element is the partially enclosed patio garden at the center of the building on axis with the main entry and flanked by three balconies, one at each side, on the second floor.  The patio garden is designed as a quiet place for business discussions and rest from the day's activities as well as an entertainment space with a large outdoor fireplace and fountains.  All of the primary building spaces look onto the patio garden.  The architectural elements of the Davidson Companies Building suggest strong ties to residential architecture emphasizing the primary services of the realty and development groups.
