Story

The 10,200 square foot state of the art LASIK facility is located on the busy intersection of East Paris Avenue and Burton Street in the City of Kentwood, Michigan. It was designed specifically for permanent vision correction with a focus on individualized care. Driesenga & Associates was involved in this challenging site by completing a topographic survey and geotechnical investigation of the site. Through coordination with the Architect, several conceptual site layout options were created with the goal to maximize parking and accommodate the proposed 10,200 square foot building. Site engineering included mass grading of the site, design and layout of utilities, a creative use of storm water management facilities, and coordination of drive entrances onto a major intersection, while creating an aesthetically pleasing and functional result. The D&A team spearheaded the zoning and Site plan approval process through the City of Kentwood.
