Story

This joint project between the City of Cadillac and Four Winns, was to construct two new parking lots and rehabilitate the existing roads within the city’s industrial park. This project was funded utilizing grant money from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC). The project was for the construction of two new parking lots within Four Winns Site, new storm sewer, site grading, HMA surfacing, lighting and landscaping. It also involved rehabilitation of approximately 0.75 miles of industrial park roads, by milling and resurfacing, along with repairing existing storm basins within the roadway. In addition, it included placing approximately 400 ft of new storm sewer along Lesson Avenue to improve roadside drainage. The Driesenga & Associates, Inc. (D&A) team provided Civil Engineering design services on this project. Specific tasks included design engineering, plan preparation, bidding documents, opinion of probable costs, and coordination with MEDC, City of Cadillac and Four Winns to insure that all state and local regulations were met. During construction, D&A performed on-site inspection, testing, surveying, and contract administration services.
