Story

Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods, formerly Hospice of Holland Home, is part of Michigan’s largest not-for-profit continuing care retirement community. The focus of this facility is to provide in-home and in-patient hospice care to individuals nearing the end of their lives. Tucked into a stand of mature woodlands this facility offers areas that are completely manicured and incorporate a diverse range of plantings as well as areas of untouched beauty. The design ensures color and visual interest is available throughout the property and throughout the year. From the initial conceptual design for the facility came the development of complete Landscape and Irrigation packages that were used for bidding and construction documentation. Views from each room and patio were considered in an effort to minimize the sight of internal traffic and provide visual interest for every season. Colorful blooms appear in early spring and last through summer. As fall approaches the leaves begin to change and the textures and colors provided by the stands of ornamental grasses and berries set against evergreens will soon have the winter snow to compliment the scene.
