Civil-Engineering

Story

This project involved the preparation and completion of a water and sewer study for the City of Cadillac, Michigan. The study area was located on the east side of Cadillac and encompassed approximately 44 acres. The study was to recommend and provide guidance to the City in determining future planning and layout for expansion of their current water and sewer system. This was needed in order to accommodate the future growth and development that was occurring in the study area. Driesenga & Associates, Inc.’s (D&A) work included determining the capability of the existing water and sanitary sewer systems to serve the study area at build-out, identifying and recommending a corridor for the proposed sewer and water system. D&A prepared of a detailed cost estimate for all improvements, assembled a Powerpoint presentation and report summarizing the findings, and presented these findings to the City staff.
