Story

Following a feasibility study which evaluated the viability of a single and multi-family residential PUD development encompassing the entire 161 acre Byron Hills Golf Course, Pulte Homes purchased the west 41 acres of the property and moved forward with development of a 71 unit single family residential plat. Redstone Group took over development of the project in 2004, and has completed Phase 1 of the executive family community known as Arlington Park. Driesenga & Associates, Inc. (D&A) provided full scope site engineering services for the project, including ALTA and Topographic Surveys, Phase One Environmental Site Assessment, Geotechnical Investigations, Site Plan approval and Civil Engineering Design, Construction Staking, Construction Materials Testing and Final Platting. The D&A team was responsible for coordinating and obtaining of approvals and permits through Byron Township, Byron-Gaines Utility Authority, Kent County Drain Commission, Kent County Road Commission, and MDEQ. Special considerations included payback and oversizing agreements for water main and sanitary sewer, and reimbursement from the Kent County Road Commission for additional work on Burlingame Avenue.
