Peregrine Pointe

Grand Rapids, Michigan

General-Contractor-Design/Build

Story

We designed a complete set of blueprints for this project based on a photograph taken by Bob Grooters, of a building he saw while skiing in Colorado. The project took six months from the moment the first shovel of dirt was overturned through completion. The exterior of the 2-story professional building is constructed of dry-stacked veneer with rough sawn stained cedar. Heavy cedar timbers were used on the many overhangs, along with red-painted aluminum sash. Copper painted gutters, downspouts and column cap plates set the building off. The interior of the building has 6 panel maple doors, maple trim work, vaulted cedar ceiling at the entryway and light fixtures that compliment the exterior of the building. The building consists of approximately 24,000 square feet, divided into separate office suites.
