MVP Fieldhouse

Grand Rapids, Michigan

General-Contractor

Story

Wolverine Building, Inc. joined forces with A.M.D.G. Architects and MVP Sports Clubs to complete the MVP Fieldhouse.  The new indoor and outdoor sports facility is located at 5433 28th Street Court SE.

The project began with a new 50,000 square foot pre-engineered steel facility, which houses five regulation courts for basketball and volleyball, a 5,000 square-foot space dedicated to Parisi Speed School, meeting rooms, locker rooms and a concession area.  Outside Wolverine constructed an additional 350,000 square-foot area of artificial turf with public toilet access.  The turf is lined into three regulation soccer fields, three regulation lacrosse fields, two regulation football fields and a practice field for additional training.

“This facility provides the single largest artificial surface area in the state of Michigan for Soccer, Football and Lacrosse.  It is suitable for tournament play week in and week out. Rain or shine.  This area combined with the five indoor basketball/volleyball courts and individual training areas will definitely help meet the needs for additional facilities required by Title Nine.” said Jim Ziegler, Project Manager for Wolverine Building.
