Morton Township Library Expansion

Mecosta, Michigan

General-Contractor

Story

Wolverine Building Group and C2AE collaborated on a 10,000 square foot addition and 5,000 square foot renovation to the existing Morton Township Library facility.  The one-story building has an open floor plan that will promote community activity, recreational reading, and the desire for learning.  The new library features a quiet reading room, a large community room, large and small meeting rooms, a designated teen area, and a children's programming area.

The $2.7 million construction project was funded by donations, grants, and federal funding from the Community Facilities Program at USDA Rural Development.  The Morton Township Library Board Members, past and present, the Friends of the Library, and many community members have been working since 2003 to make this project a reality.

The expanded Morton Township Library received an Excellence in Construction Award from ABC of West Michigan for Construction Over $5 Million.
