Georgetown Bible Church

Georgetown Township, Michigan

General-Contractor-Design/Build

Story

The addition was built to accommodate Georgetown Bible Church's growing membership and expanding ministries.

The additional space is made up of administrative offices, child care rooms, and religious education facilities. It also includes 9,300 square feet of unfinished space on the second floor for future expansion.

The project was completed using Wolverine's in-house architectural department as a Design/Build project by Gordon Jendritz, Wolverine Building's Head Architect. The design focused on creating a structure that stands out to visitors as they pull into the parking lot and easily transitions into the original structure. Also to ensure that the addition designed would be able to adequately serve the needs of Georgetown Bible Church current situation and well into the future.

The addition was constructed using a combination of conventional and pre-engineered steel with insulated panels for the walls and roof. White vinyl siding and concrete block were used for the exterior to match, closely matching the building materials used in the original church building.

"Careful consideration was given to both the exterior and interior design to make it look and feel much like the original building," said Nye. "We were able to work closely with church staff to pick interior finishes for the new space that would coordinate with the original church and stay within budget."
