Civil-Engineering
Williams & Works worked for Wolverine Building Group to provide surveying and site engineering services for an 8,000 s.f. building addition and 42-space parking lot expansion. The project required the installation of an underground storm water detention system and construction of a new fire protection line to service the building addition. Our engineers developed plans for an underground storm water detention system to provide volume for the 100-year storm as required by the City. We coordinated this design effort with a local supplier and obtained approval from the City.
The critical elements of this project were the coordination with the City of Grand Rapids Development Center to design an appropriate solution to manage storm water runoff on site as well as approval of the LUDS permit. Construction staking services were also provided.
