Triangle Associate’s design-build staff, the Owner and the design architect worked collaboratively to pull together the numerous elements of this very meticulous multi-phase renovation and expansion of a 100-year-old facility.

Over 50,000 square feet of the original four-story structure was renovated for use as office space and light manufacturing. Critical to maintaining the original integrity, a new stairway and elevator tower were erected using the original bricks from other demolished structures.

Portions of the existing structure were removed to provide access to a new 65,000-square-foot pre-engineered metal building addition to be used for furniture assembly and distribution. A boiler building was also converted into a state-of-the art finishing room facility.

All construction was performed while the major tenant maintained temporary occupancy.
