This upscale restaurant was constructed along the Grand River in downtown Grand Rapids. A unique combined foundation system was utilized because of its close proximity to the riverbank. A laminated architectural wood roof structure, custom green colored glass trim and architecturally exposed concrete walkways with nautical themed railings contribute to this restaurant’s unique look. Charley’s Crab was constructed after removing the old foundations of the abandoned Grand Rapids Ice Company site. The 1,500 sf kitchen cooks up some of the finest seafood available in West Michigan while customers enjoy the scenic river view.
