THE KING CO. INC., installed over 525 linear feet of temporary left-in-place earth retention consisting of vibration free soldier pile wood lagging. The system was designed/built for excavation depths over 22-feet from existing grade. This sensitive project, located in downtown Grand Rapids, involved installing temporary earth retention to allow the removal and replacement of an existing stone retaining wall along the Fulton St. Cemetery. 82 grouted tiebacks were installed as part of the earth retention system.
