BAGGAGE HANDLING SYSTEM ENGINEERING

Swanson Rink provided Baggage Handling System (BHS) design services for necessary modifications and renovations to the existing terminal. Primary responsibilities were to provide an acceptable level of service until renovations of the terminal were complete.
The BHS portion of the project included:

1. Inbound baggage handling including improvements to the existing baggage claim device.
2. Checked Baggage Inspection System (CBIS) including provision for EDS and TSA protocol   hand search.
3. Outbound BHS including the possible addition of a single bag make-up carousel and the necessary feed.
4. Demolition of existing BHS equipment to meet the new design requirements.
