This new 220,000 square foot data center is a concrete structure containing 76,000 square feet of computer space with modular expansion capability to 152,000 square feet.

The mechanical and electrical infrastructure is constructed with a scalable architecture to accommodate the expanded computer space. The design load density is 100 watts per square foot of computer space.

An interesting aspect of facility design is that the building and all of the mechanical and electrical systems were designed to provide continuous uninterrupted operations in the event of an F5 tornado (350 mph winds). In addition, the mechanical and electrical infrastructure were designed to achieve continuous availability, and provide capability for concurrent maintenance.
