Swanson Rink provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and telecommunications design for a new research and development facility for the World Wide Fluid Power Division of Gates Rubber Company.

30,000 square feet of this facility is devoted to offices and training. The remaining 40,000 square feet house bench labs, testing equipment, and prototype manufacturing space.

Unique mechanical systems for the industrial portion of this facility include an oil mist collection and filtration system for a 10,000 square foot "Impulse Testing" laboratory, chilled water processors, dust collection systems, and central compressed air. Electrical design focused on the high load density requirements for the lab spaces.
