Berger Chevrolet

Grand Rapids, Michigan

Architectural

Story

To renovate Berger Chevrolet's new and used car facilities, Omega Architects worked closely with the Owner and Infrastructure, Inc., General Motor's corporate designer.  The renovation was one of the first in the country to incorporate Chevrolet's newest corporate design standards and features bright blue metal panels at the main entry element, along with gray and silver metal panels across the front and sides.  The remainder of the exterior's EIFS was recoated to provide for a newer, more weather resistant surface.  At the interior, new finishes included polished and unpolished procelain ceramic tile, carpet, wallcovering, paint, plastic laminate cabinets with solid surface countertops.  As part of the renovation, new furniture was provided in the new car facility.  Renovation occurred within all departments, including sales, parts, body shop, service, customer areas, and business office.
