The Abu Dhabi National Energy Co.'s new Ann Arbor headquarters is 13,144 square feet of glass, polished marble and wood paneling. The office features an array of shapes, acoustically tuned materials and a range of colors and artwork. The space is divided with frameless glass partitions, derived from a clear grade that minimizes the green tint of standard glass. It also features a cork floor in the central office, with metal "clouds" hanging overhead to improve acoustics and cover the inner workings of the building's ceiling. The personal spaces have limestone tiles with mosaic accents, and the office features a color scheme designed to evoke the desert heritage of TAQA, which was founded in Abu Dhabi in 2005. The office also has a lunch area with a bar in the center and a patio, as well as a conference room with a custom-designed conference table. Smaller strategy rooms have leather and fabric panels.
