Story

After a devasting fire destroyed the original ski chalet, the owners of the Big Powderhorn Ski Resort hired Moyle Construction as the design/build contractor for the reconstruction of their new ski chalet.  The new building is a structural steel frame with precast concrete plank floors and a metal stud curtain wall with cement board siding and cultured stone veneer.  A new tunnel will be constructed connecting the new ski chalet to the existing Caribou Lodge.  Due to the owner's need to be open for the ski season, the design process was fast-tracked allowing for work packages to be released for bid and construction as soon as the design for each package was complete.
