Motorola Beijing Campus

Architectural-Planning

Story

Mekus Tanager was given the assignment by Motorola do schematic design plans of typical floors that incorporated Motorola planning standards using mobility hubs and workstations and conference centers to assist in the initiation of the interior design and the Motorola branding of this multi-building project. One goal was to bring to the Beijing campus the design philosophy and Motorola Brand that had been incorporated in previous Motorola and Mekus Tanager collaborations. In addition it was important to increase campus capacity by incorporating smaller mobility stations. The total new building project was comprised of 350,000 SF of Tower space, two (2) research and development buildings of 65,229 SF and 582,540 SF. The original 254,160 SF MNAC building in another location housed the population being moved to the new campus. The new campus project is now filled to capacity and the original MNAC building is being renovated to house the over-flow.
