Story

Konica Minolta merged with Danka Imaging to form Konica Minolta Business Solutions (KMBS). As a result of the merger, the company reorganized and consolidated its operations and redefined their brand message.  For their Chicago offices, Mekus Tanager was engaged by KMBS to help them find new office space within the downtown business district that fit their new programmatic requirements which included featuring a “Customer Engagement Center” or product demonstration showrooms, sales and technical staff office areas, and a new regional office.

Working closely with KMBS’s national real estate team, Mekus Tanager helped KMBS compare and evaluate a variety of potential relocation options, and then select an ideal location option over one of the downtown train stations in sub-let space deal in previously built and furnished space that could be reconfigured to fit KMBS’s criteria at a very competitive cost.
