Story

The newest cemetery in the Archdiocese of Chicago cemetery system, Good Shepherd Cemetery encompasses 317 acres. Three separate structures support the new property. They include an Administrative Building and Chapels, Garden Crypts and a Field Operations Center. The Administrative Center has large expanses of windows to provide natural light. Three chapels surround the workroom and allow for simultaneous use . The Garden Crypts occupy a prominent site near the front entrance, which are visible from 104th Street. A 50' bell tower provides a visual landmark from all parts of the property. The new 13,000 square foot Field Operations Center consists of vehicle maintenance bays, storage, scheduling office, locker rooms, and an employee break room.
