Story

For a period of five years, Mekus Tanager worked with Baker & McKenzie on the programming, planning, design and implementation of their 238,000-square foot Chicago and international law offices in downtown Chicago. Initially, Mekus Tanager assisted Baker & McKenzie in studying and evaluating numerous new building locations. After they decided to stay at the Prudential Building, their original location, one of the primary challenges was to develop a design solution that incorporated many different project agendas held by the various Baker & McKenzie practice groups. The resulting design reflects the international orientation of the firm, incorporating the energetic style of the client and the functional needs of the staff. Mekus Tanager also assisted Baker & McKenzie with the development of new and more efficient office standards for all levels of professional and support staff.
