Story

The Greater Lansing Convention and Visitors Bureau is an organization with a mission of promoting the economic development of the City of Lansing by marketing the area as a travel destination. Realizing the need to be closer to the heart of Downtown with more visibility, the new office for Greater Lansing Convention and Visitors Bureau will be located in a prominent storefront space in the Stadium District Building. Located directly across Michigan Avenue from Oldsmobile Park and with immediate access to the Lansing Center, the location will provide them the accessibility and visibility that they desire.

One of the amenities they desired for the new offices was to have a Visitors’ Center. The Visitors’ Center was designed with computer access for patrons to sit down and order tickets to events, a small information center for visitors to pick-up and thumb through brochures and literature, and a small merchandising area. In addition to the visitors center, the space was designed with a flexible board room, staff offices, a media center, and conference space. The design incorporates circular ceiling and floor pattern elements to add interest to the densely populated space.
