Consulting services for the construction of a live performance studio
within an existing studio suite located in Chicago's busy Navy Pier.
Services included design of fixed and moveable sound diffusive and
sound absorptive elements, design of isolation construction working
within existing architectural and structural constraints to control
noise from the exterior and adjacent studios, and revision to the
mechanical system serving the studio to reduce background noise
and improve isolation to the adjacent office spaces.
The new LEED-certified Corporate Headquarters for Mesirow
Financial is under construction at 353 N. Clark Avenue in Chicago.
The fourth through seventeenth floors of the 45-story building will
include divisible auditorium, break-out rooms, and a twenty-room
conference center supporting client and board meetings,
presentations, and training sessions. Most rooms include video
displays with network video and laptop computer connections. Many
also include videoconferencing via remote controlled cameras, and
recording capabilities. All rooms are linked by a central room
reservation system, touchpanel audio/video control system and a
central on-demand video archive.
Room acoustics, mechanical noise, and audio/video systems
consulting services for this new 64,000 gsf facility to expand the
museum's exhibit, community outreach, and education programs. The
building will feature a 270-seat lecture hall, library, computer center,
meeting rooms, and presentation spaces. At the heart of the
museum is an immersive multimedia tour tracing the history of the
holocaust. This permanant exhibit features over 30 video and
multimedia exhibit stations, including panoramic projection. Located
adjacent to the Edens Expressway, exterior isolation has been
designed to prevent freeway noise from reaching the quiet,
introspective spaces within.
