The apartment communities developed by Preferred Living offer a luxury-filled lifestyle.  Residents of The Boulevard enjoy soaring 9-foot ceilings, gourmet kitchens with marbled countertops, modern pendant lighting and plush interior décor.  The Boulevard’s amenities are equally luxurious, featuring a Vegas-style pool, bowling lanes, multiple fireplaces and outdoor lounge with fire pit.  Living at The Boulevard makes a statement, and the community owners knew a strong visual statement upon entrance to the community was equally important. 

Preferred Living turned to Kent Companies Facility Services for the design and construction of five massive concrete fountains.   The Boulevard Fountains measured 29 feet long by 14 feet wide by 3 feet in depth.  They serve as a focal point upon entry to the community.  The project posed challenges in terms of a tight schedule and design.  The owner required monolithic pours for the colossal fountains in order to avoid problems with water leaks. 

Kent Companies engineered a gate system for the custom forming of the fountains.  Both surface and hanging rigs were designed to support the pours.  Each fountain required over 3,200 pounds of resteel, and Kent Companies poured over 100 cubic yards of concrete for the entire project.  Kent Companies completed the construction of 5 concrete fountains in two weeks for Preferred Living.  The owners were thrilled with on-time delivery in a world that tends to be fashionably late.
