Story

The new Spartan YMCA located in Wyoming, Michigan is a 96,000 square foot structure that was designed into a rolling site which required numerous foundation elevation changes. With a swimming pool and gymnasium on the ground floors and weightlifting/exercise areas on the second floor, there was a wide variety of concrete floor details to coordinate.  The most distinctive part of this facility is the deep polished concrete floors. These floors have large aggregates and give the illusion of walking down the Lake Superior shoreline.
