Story

The renovation of the Birthplace at St. Joseph Hospital progressed through a nine-month “gestation” and emerged with a fresh take on life…on new life, that is.  The 13,500 square foot, $1.8 million project successfully implemented numerous operational goals, including an entirely new neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), a new nursery, an expanded patient education facility, a whirlpool for pain management, strategically-located nursing stations, and updated patient rooms complete with today’s conveniences.  This major renovation was accomplished while maintaining full operational capabilities by the teamwork exhibited between the design-build team and the project representatives and nursing staff of St. Joseph Hospital.
