St. Clairsville, Ohio

Architectural

Story

This project consisted of a complete remodeling of the existing library at the Ohio University Eastern Campus in St. Clairsville, Ohio.  The purpose of the renovation was to upgrade the existing dark and dated library space into a more inviting student friendly "learning commons".  Book stacks were rotated 45 degrees to allow for creation of quiet interaction and study areas within the stacks.  Functions added to this space were a tutoring suite with offices for two tutors and tutoring areas for students, a meeting presentation practice room, a dedicated testing area allowing for distance learning and computer testing, an improved circulation desk and library support offices.
