Civil-Engineering
This project consisted of the new construction of a 50,000 sq. ft. county building to house the Ottawa County Family Independence Agency. The building is home to departments handling a number of adult and child services, including: foster care, juvenile justice, adoption services, protective services, health clinic, as well as a number of other services to assist the residents of Ottawa County, Michigan. Driesenga & Associates, Inc. (D&A) began with pre-acquisition environmental site assessment and boundary survey. This was followed up with a conceptual master plan for the site work including future buildings in the development. Working in coordination with the Project Architect and the County, D&A prepared the engineering site plan, including grading, utilities, stormwater detention, and public street and utilities to access the site. D&A was also retained to provide materials testing and construction staking services throughout construction.
